Chick update
After completely outgrowing their tank, the chicks were upgraded to a luxurious "hamster mansion"... which they managed to outgrow within two days. Clearly unimpressed with their first upgrade, they were promoted to a spacious guinea pig run but, naturally, they outflew that in another two days too.
Their next promotion was to a bigger guinea pig run with metre-high sides... but apparently nobody told the chicks that those were meant to be a challenge, not a suggestion. They escaped that as well and decided to redecorate their temporary indoor home instead with a lovely (and very generous) layer of chick poo.
So, they've now officially moved into their outdoor chicken coop! They're safely settled away from the more mature girls for now, giving them time to build confidence and grow into their chicken personalities. They are inside in the evenings with the heat lamp but clearly do not need it at the moment.
Gradually, they'll move closer and closer until they're big enough and brave enough to attempt the grand introduction... and hopefully join the big girls without causing too much chaos!
"Aliens love underpants, in every shape and size..." and it seems Wilton loves them too! We are absolutely thrilled that Wilton CE Primary were crowned the overall winners of the Wilton Carnival with our fantastic Aliens Love Underpants theme! A huge thank you to all of our amazing children, parents and staff whose creativity, enthusiasm and hard work helped bring our out-of-this-world entry to life. A very special thank you goes to Mrs Johnson for her vision, direction and endless dedication in making it all happen. We are incredibly proud to be part of such a wonderful Wilton community and delighted to celebrate this success together
Our incredible Year 5 children have been working collaboratively to design and create delicious Mediterranean pinwheels! From sharing ideas and planning their designs to preparing, making and, of course, enjoying their creations, the children demonstrated fantastic teamwork throughout the process. Not only did they develop their design and food preparation skills, but they also strengthened friendships, built positive relationships and learned the value of working together towards a shared goal. We are so proud of their creativity, cooperation and enthusiasm!
What a legend! Mr Gunn the superstar has done it! We are so proud and in awe of your incredible bravery and determination!
Today! Mr Gunn, one of our incredible teachers is taking part to raise money and awareness for The Bridge Youth project!

Our Year 4 pupils are having an amazing time stepping back in history during their Viking residential. From exploring Viking life and learning about their culture to taking part in exciting hands on activities, the children are fully embracing the experience. They are demonstrating fantastic teamwork, resilience and enthusiasm throughout the trip, creating memories that will last a lifetime. A huge well done to all of the children for representing the school so brilliantly and thank you to the staff who made this unforgettable adventure possible!
Today our wonderful choir were invited to sing at Old St Marys, Wilton as part of Engage Market day concerts. They learnt some beautiful songs and accompanying Makaton to help them deliver our message that Everyone belongs and Everyone achieves.
They're off! Year 4 have set off on their Viking Residential. We hope they have a fantastic time exploring, learning, and making lots of wonderful memories. Have an amazing trip, Year 4!

Today, Gandalf Class had the wonderful opportunity to visit Wilton Town Council. We learnt about the history of the chambers and discovered more about how the town council works. The children enjoyed exploring and handling some fascinating artefacts, as well as trying on some of the incredible ceremonial robes. Could we be looking at the future of Wilton's politics? A huge thank you to the Mayor of Wilton and everyone at the chamber for being such welcoming and wonderful hosts. Who knows perhaps one day one of these children will be sitting in the chamber, representing the people of Wilton. We think they already look very much the part in those robes!

Such a magical moment! We are now working on convincing Mr Boase to let us keep some here in school . . . . (although Mrs Gough and Mrs Blyth are glad to rehome them), so if anyone has a chicken coop/ electric door they no longer need, our case will become stronger!!
